I've encountered a weird issue where when I download books via OPDS some metadata is missing (like series and series number).Ĭheck out linuxserver.io, as they have docker images for Calibre, Calibre Web, and COPS. Working through the same thing right now. What do you use or, if you don't but are familiar with some useful apps, what would you suggest? Minor Wish: can be outward facing so I could direct someone outside my network to it.(Am completely fine running two different systems to accomplish this, one for books and one for comics). Supports Calibre meta data and/or it is easy to export/import metadata.I'm willing to have separate folders/directories but maintaining master libraries with items tagged (much like how Plex handles media) would be ideal. It supports user accounts (so content that is age-inappropriate for children can be restricted). It can run on my DS918+ (preferably in a docker container). I don't mind doing this part manually to ensure they are organized/tagged correctly. What I would prefer to have happen is a workflow where the only time I touch the items is to load them into a library system where people can browse them and download them to their kindles or tablets as they wish. Right now my "workflow" for getting them onto the myriad of kindles and tablets (iOS and Android) in the house is to plug them into my desktop PC and copy the files over as I (or other people in the house) want them. As far as comics go, I've just shoved them into folders. Historically I've just used Calibre on a local install (local on my desktop PC that is) and parked the Calibre database and books on a network drive. Guys, my collection of ebooks and comics is becoming unwieldy.
